Context: I am a
firm believer of learning how to do something well. Since I did not study food,
I always stopped myself from attempting to make my passion for food a source of
earning for me. However, when a friend wanted to be an interior designer but he
did not feel the need to study design and yet bit the bullet, I realised that
my paradigm was rather misplaced. Therefore with some apprehension, lots of
passion and oodles of excitement I have set out on this journey of creating
happy times for everyone by cooking for them.
Early days: I was
11 when I made my first apple flan. My neighbour, a very charming uncle was my
guinea pig. He said that the flan was quite bad. I also remember making
a soufflé and my brother’s friend who always boasted of an expert at
puddings mother told me as a parting shot, “Never make a soufflé again.”
And now: Well, I love
cooking. I cook beautifully. Ten years and more, life in Mumbai has been full
of happy memories - home dinners, lunches, potluck and parties. Friends and
feedback motivated me to give birth to Peppercorns. This year I am ready to
bring it out to your dining tables. Pepper
Corns is my venture for bringing the world’s flavours to your home when you
want to share good times with your friends and you know that good food will
perk up the good company.
Repertoire: Pepper Corns
provides cuisine specific food or mixes and matches with themes or even makes
you some specific sections for your party. Among world food, we are delicious
with Moroccan, Italian, Lebanese, Thai, Mediterranean, Continental, Mexican and
Burmese menus. We also recommend that it is a romantic idea to play around with
cuisines and offer delightful surprises to guests in terms of contrasting
flavours. Indian food, today coveted everywhere is as enriching as the hues and
hysteria of Indian customs. We bring to you food from the regions of Bengal,
Punjab, Kerala, Mangalore, Goa, Maharashtra and Coorg. The journey of food is
ongoing, we are learning and we are adding to our menu all the time.
Service: The dishes
will be sent to your location in ready to-be-served platters and bowls. You
will be provided with an instruction sheet to help you in the warming and
serving stages. The empty dishes will be collected from you the next day or
soon after. You can sit back, relax and play host with absolutely no stress or
worry about the food for the party!
Pepper Corns, true to its name, black gold in the olden days of
pepper trade, will leave you with golden memories and happy times.
